Personal Goals for the Academic Year
Being that this is my last year as an undergraduate it is only proper I re-evaluate…
1. Graduate Northwestern University with a 3.6 GPA.
2. To never leave my apartment anything less than fabulous.
3. To find a job I truly love.
4. To cook lots. #Domesticity
5. Get my driver’s license… STFU!

As I watch my mother and father drift apart in their marriage I realize… everybody wants someone to hold them at night. And then to roll over and wake up with them the next morning. Period. With all of this pain, war, and sickness in the world, you want to know you’ve still got a reason to live.

I frequent this site. Black love showcasing itself in the best way. The owners are husband and wife, and their looks are classic and chic no matter what you’re getting dressed for. It’s not a boutique only for couples, but I must say ladies, it is cute if you’ve got a beau on your arm when you walk in.

Things I lOVE.
Contrary to traditional fashion beliefs, modern generations understand why plaid works and why it’s in. My father told me to not purchase a coral and seafoam plaid top because I would look like a farmer. Smh. By farmer, he must have meant fabulous. Plaid is a fashion DO if you know how to wear it, especially for the college student. I’m just saying.

Things iL0VE about my natural hair:
1. Come rain, sleet, snow, or chlorine I am ready for whatever.
2. The longer it gets the more I realize there is no hairstyle I cannot do.
3. I can finally use Herbal Essence products - only white girls in the commercial!
4. No more itchy scalp from relaxers.
5. No more combs, brushes, or curling irons needed.
6. He can play with/pull my hair all day/night. BAH!
7. I can do a muh effin...
